Maurine’s father died shortly after her birth, and her mother lost her hearing after undergoing intense malaria treatment. These circumstances made it difficult for Maurine to get the support she needed, and in September of 2017, Maureen and her brother were introduced to Horizon to begin a new life. Now, a beautiful girl, Maureen is finally able to dream a little bigger. Despite her age, she has high hopes of achieving her dream of becoming a lawyer to defend the weak and fight for their rights.
