LA PROVIDENCIA
Carrying on a tradition of orphan excellence in Honduras.
Started by Providence World in the early 2000’s, La Providencia has continued to serve as a best practice, family-based community of care for orphaned and vulnerable children in Honduras. In September 2019, we welcomed the La Providencia family into our own and are in the process of both building on this best practices framework and maximizing the impact of this amazing community.

OVERVIEW
The facilities at La Providencia include a 12,000 SF medical clinic with two operating rooms and a dental exam room as well as a school with current enrollment at approximately 200 children. In addition, there are four family homes and onsite agriculture including plantains, chickens and coffee.
